Anyone with an @easy.realty email address can now sign up for the Easy Realty Slack workspace, making it easier to get connected while taking the first step toward a broader Easy Realty single sign-on and passwordless experience.

One Easy Realty Identity

The Easy Realty Agent Hub is the home base for our agents, bringing together the tools, information, services and support agents use across the brokerage.

Now we’re working on making access to the systems around it easier, too.

Agents with an @easy.realty email address can now use that identity to sign up for the Easy Realty Slack workspace. That removes an unnecessary barrier to getting connected and establishes the Easy Realty email address as the foundation for a more unified identity across our services.

But Slack is just the beginning.

Toward Single Sign-On

Our longer-term goal is simple: one Easy Realty identity that provides easier access across the services our agents use.

We’re beginning the development of a broader single sign-on experience using the Easy Realty email address as the agent’s identity.

As that initiative develops, we want to reduce the number of separate credentials agents need to manage and move toward a simpler, more consistent sign-in experience across Easy Realty services.

Less remembering which username goes where. Less password friction. Easier access.

The Road to Passwordless

The bigger destination is passwordless authentication using passkeys.

Passkeys are based on FIDO standards and can allow people to authenticate using the same method they already use to unlock their device, such as biometrics or a PIN, rather than entering a traditional password.

That matters because we’re trying to accomplish two things that can sometimes seem contradictory:

make access easier and make access more secure.

Passwordless authentication can help do both. Microsoft describes FIDO2 passkeys as phishing-resistant credentials and notes that they can reduce prompts while providing fast authentication across devices.  CISA strongly urges organizations to move toward phishing-resistant forms of MFA as protection against phishing and other cyber threats.

Less Friction. Stronger Security.

Our goal isn’t to make agents jump through more hoops in the name of security.

It’s the opposite.

We’re working toward an Easy Realty environment where securely proving who you are becomes easier, while our systems become harder for someone else to access as you.

Easier Slack access is a small first step, but it points toward something much bigger: one Easy Realty identity, fewer passwords and simpler, stronger access to the brokerage technology our agents use.
